1. Chocolate. This seems to be a trend every year to give up chocolate and I always fail, but this year I am more determined than ever to succeed! I probably eat chocolate 2-3 times a week and so this is quite a hard one but I'm thinking of all the benefits of giving it up - less spots, lose weight, less groggy, feel better within myself...it's worth a shot!
2. Stress. After a few stressful months and many breakdowns, I have come to the conclusion that stress is not worth it. I'm sick of feeling rubbish and run down all the time about my assignments/exams/lectures and so I'm going to just do my best, do my assignments to the best of my ability, and be happy with the results.
3. Lazy Days. I have too many days in bed where I say i'll get up and do things, and then I just end up laying in bed all day doing absolutely nothing. I want to start making the most of every day I have and so I'm going to start doing more things in the day e.g. fitness workouts, work, going for walks, tidying my room, pamper myself, read a book etc. No more wasted days!
I'm determined to see these through for the 40 days and 40 nights. I think chocolate and stress are going to be the hardest to do. My 21st falls in March and so no doubt I will be surrounded by chocolate! I also have 12 assignments do to in 5 weeks and I will no doubt get stressed out...but I will try my hardest to not let it get to me. As long as I plan my time wisely, I should be ok! Wish me luck!
What are you giving up for Lent this year? :)
Love, Amy x
Stress is such a brilliant thing to give up for Lent. Hopefully you manage to do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really giving up anything for Lent, just continuing to eat healthily :)
